Hello world!! I have been natural on and off since high school. The longest and latest stint has been since fall of 2003. When I went natural in '03, I had every intention of locking my hair. There was a salon in Houston that did sister locs and I was ready. When I cut the last bit of perm out of my hair, I noticed how curly my hair was. I decided to let it grow out a bit longer before locking it. As it grew, I fell in love with the curly texture that it took on. I quickly decided that locs were out. I started rocking a curly fro that I would blow out every now and then. I became a big fan of bun wraps, hats and two-strand twists during the awkward in between stages. And now, there's no stopping me!! My latest endeavor is to grow my hair as long as I possibly can. Which of course, is a direct correlation to my hair being healthy. In the past when my hair got shoulder length, I would chop it back down to a small fro. Those days are over!! I want hair down my back and will do everything in my power to get it. I'm sure there will be triumphs and failures, laughter and tears...but I'm willing to share it all with you, if you're up for the ride.
God made me in His image. I am perfect from the coil of my hair, to the color of my skin. I am perfect. I am His creation and He can do all things but fail.
If you have a problem with the sun in my smile, the timbre of my voice or the naptural wonder of my hair, you can take it up with Him (but I wouldn't if I were you) or you can just let me be...Napturally
